A Short Path Distillation Unit (SPDU), A different from a standard Agitated Thin Film Evaporator by incorporating an internal condenser. The system minimizes pressure drop by providing vapours generated on the heated surface with a short path to the condenser. With this design, it is possible to operate at vacuum levels as low as 0.001 mbar.
