What is Cardanol Distillation Plant?

Working Principle of Cardanol Distillation Plant

Feed Preheating: CNSL raw feed is preheated to minimize its viscosity and maximize the distillation process's efficiency.
Vacuum Distillation: Preheated CNSL is vacuum distilled, thus decreasing the boiling point and preventing cardanol thermal degradation.
Vaporization: The cardanol as well as the volatile compounds with residues remaining behind are selectively vaporized using controlled pressure and temperature.
Condensation: Pumped cardanol vapor transferred is passed through a cooled condenser and becomes condensed into liquid form
Separation & Collection: Separated condensed cardanol is collected as a by-product of purification whereas non-volatile residues are disposed off for further processing or being discarded.
Final Quality Check: Quality testing of distilled cardanol is performed to identify purity and industrial grade before packaging and supply.
